Henry County Humane Society - Geneseo is looking for compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as kennel attendants!
Weekend Dog Kennel Attendant:
Hours: Saturday and Sunday for 3-4 hours starting no later then 7am
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Applicants must be comfortable with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and be on your feet for at least 4 hours. Training will be provided and proper protocol must be followed for the safety of staff and our animals.
Weekend Cat Kennel Attendant:
Hours: Friday & Monday for approx. 5 hours
Saturday & Sunday for approx. 3 hours
Starting no later then 8am
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Applicants must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. and be on your feet, squatting, and kneeling for at least 5 hours. Training will be provided and proper protocol must be followed for the safety of staff and our animals.
Hours for both position may fluctuate as our number of animals/needs change throughout the year.

- Cleaning kennel runs and yards
- Feeding
- Medicating
- Washing dog bowls and toys
- Filling food containers

- Feeding cats
- Scooping and washing litter boxes
- Sweeping/Mopping
- Laundry
- Dishes
- Wiping down cat towers and surfaces
- Giving medications
