The 2017 Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the City of Geneseo with entertainment by the Geneseo High School Band, netted the Humane Society proceeds of $1,245.00. Thanks to the volunteers who brought baked goods and helped that evening, with special thanks to the Henry County Fair Queen candidates who were there all evening!
The monthly meeting of the Humane Society was held on Tuesday, November 15, at Sweet Peas in Geneseo. Elections to the board of directors was held, and two new board members joined the group. Ray Blankenship and Kathleen Dichiser will join the board of directors as a result of a change to the by-laws, which increased the board membership from 7 to a range of 7-9. Ray and Kathleen will join board members who were re-elected to one-year terms - Cindy Avey, Becky Roesner, Brandi Littig, Gay Hull, Paula Pritchard, Carol Neely, and Karen Russell. Officers will be decided among the board members at a future board meeting.
Welcome, Ray and Kathleen!
